Seguso Vetri d’Arte creates an installation with which it reveals its soul and dedicates it to its island.

The exhibition The Spirit of Muranoended on November 3rd 2019

Exhibited for the first time at the 58th. INTERNATIONAL ART EXHIBITION – The Biennial of Venice and now try to make it to America.

For over six hundred years the Seguso family has been the interpreter of time and a community as an example of modernity and resilience in a world of constant change, Murano glass.

A symbol was held at the Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista, 3-May / 3 November 2019 temple of authentic Venetian style.

Seguso Vetri d’Arte proposes an installation that links two generations. Seguso who work, for the first time side by side, with a work in common: the artist, poet and philosopher Giampaolo (n. 1942), known as the poet of the glass – and Pierpaolo Seguso (n. 1974), designer, creative, artistic director of the family business. Bringing together the philosophical and spiritual sense, the relationship between material and spirituality have always been very dear to Giampaolo.

Thus, today, Pierpaolo wonders about great meaning of their community – Murano in modern times. Ancient community as an example of modernity and resilience in a constantly changing world. Aware that we are at the gates of one new rebirth, where values re-emerge, so imagine a memorial installation for tell a story made of many stories, as a sign of life, of testimony and thanksgiving and of community. Hence the idea of creating a great Ex voto, in the full sense that the term had.
