Seguso, along with the Italian Cultural Institute hosted a very special evening on Thursday, May 9 from 6 pm – 8pm with Mr. Giampaolo Seguso, Murano glass artist, poet and philosopher.
Giampaolo Seguso is the 22nd generation of the Seguso glassmaking dynasty, whose internationally renowned works have been exhibited in the most important cities in the world, and admired, for their visionary approach, as well as the great deal of hidden research they show.
The evening at the Cultural Institute was celebration in honor of his most recent collection of glass artworks and poetry book, The Home of the Heartbeats. A personal synthesis between spirit and substance, in which Giampaolo shares his life’s artistic journey and individual experiences through one-of-a-kind glass artworks, engraved with his poetry.
In attendance were the Consul General of Italy NATALIA QUINTAVALLE, the Director of the Institute RICCARDO VIALE, renowned author, JOHN BERENDT, and representatives from the METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART, GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM, AND MORGAN LIBRARY.
